About the Team: You'll join the Application Engineering team, which supports the platforms we use to deliver exceptional Sales and CX interactions. Our platforms have tremendous scale, and the work we do here directly shapes how the rest of Gusto operates. We challenge the status quo, advocate for scalable technical solutions, and hold a high bar for what "great" looks like - while staying grounded in translating ambiguous requirements into real business value. Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day: Design, build, and maintain scalable Apex solutions on the Salesforce platform that support our Sales and CX teams Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code or equivalent) throughout the development lifecycle to write, review, debug, and document code Oversee ongoing improvements to deployed features and measure their impact Apply Salesforce platform architecture and change/release management best
