About the Role:
The Painter / Utility Worker is responsible for prepping and painting compressors and related components, maintaining paint equipment, supporting production tasks, and ensuring high-quality, on-time completion of painted products.
- Location: Sparks Proper, NV
- Pay: $22.00–$25.50/hr DOE.
- Schedule: 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Prep, mask, clean, and paint compressors, generators, and associated parts.
- Maintain accurate paint logs in accordance with company policies.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain the paint booth and equipment; complete weekly 5S cleanings and audits.
- Support packaging and general production tasks as needed.
- Operate a forklift to move and transport components (forklift certification required).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations and Production leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to pass and maintain required painter qualification courses.
- Technical school training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with no insurance restrictions.
- Ability to read and understand structural drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to perform basic math (percentages, ratios, fractions).
- Ability to learn and adapt to various computer applications.
- Understanding of air/gas compressors, generators, and basic manufacturing tools.
- Must meet U.S. Person requirements per ALU 22CFR 120.15 (may require ability to obtain DOD clearance).
