    Role Summary 

    As a Staff Engineer , you provide strong technical leadership and hands‑on ownership of core backend services and pipelines. You will anchor and influence cross‑team architecture and execution. 

    You are expected to: 

    • Own key service architectures 
    • Design scalable ingestion and compliance workflows 
    • Ensure data quality, correctness, and reliability 
    • Mentor engineers and drive high engineering standards 

    Role and Responsibilities 

    • Enhance Netradyne Driveri solution offerings by understanding and integrating third-party partner solutions. 
    • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, reliable, and scalable software components. 
    • Develop integrations and plug-ins on third-party partner platforms to provide tightly integrated solutions between Netradyne and its partners. 
    • Design and build highly available and scalable backend services and customer-facing APIs using core AWS technologies. 
    • Own technical design and architecture for complex API and integration initiatives. 
    • Design APIs with appropriate versioning, backward compatibility, security, rate limiting, and lifecycle management. 
    • Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous integrations using messaging and streaming technologies. 
    • Address scalability, reliability, performance, retry, idempotency, and failure-handling requirements in distributed systems. 
    • Provide technical solutions for complex web, API, and integration development activities. 
    • Optimize applications and services for maximum performance, reliability, and scalability. 
    • Document architecture, design, APIs, and implementation decisions. 
    • Work independently and drive complex technical initiatives from design through delivery. 
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the team. 
    • Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and external partner teams. 
    • Communicate technical challenges, trade-offs, and solutions clearly in both written and verbal form. 

    Essential Skills 

    • 5–7 years of strong hands-on experience designing and building API-centric Java/Spring Boot applications and integration platforms. 
    • Strong experience with REST API design, Webhooks, Web Services, and third-party integrations. 
    • Experience designing scalable, highly available, and high-performance APIs and backend services. 
    • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, versioning, backward compatibility, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and API security. 
    • Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or equivalent. 
    • Strong understanding of distributed systems, including retries, idempotency, fault tolerance, and failure handling. 
    • Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot and related Java frameworks. 
    • Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices. 
    • Strong experience with RDBMS/SQL and writing optimized queries for large datasets. 
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and automated testing practices. 
    • Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and cloud-native application design. 
    • Ability to independently drive technical design and architecture for complex integration and API initiatives. 
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and partner teams. 

    Good-to-Have Skills 

    • Knowledge of Shell scripting. 
    • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git. 
    • Knowledge of build automation tools such as Maven and Gradle. 
    • Knowledge of Big Data ecosystems. 
    • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. 

    Qualifications and Education Requirements 

    • B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
